Topeka Way to Work (Info Session)

Are you a motivated youth aged 14-16 residing in Shawnee County? Looking to gain valuable work experience, earn some extra cash, and develop crucial professional skills? Well, we’ve got fantastic news for you! Fellowship Hi-Crest, in collaboration with the City of Topeka and K-State Research & Extension 4-H, is thrilled to announce the 2026 Topeka Way To Work Program!

Here’s what you need to know:

Program Dates: June 1st – July 10th, 2026
Information Session – March 29, 2026 (2-5pm) @ FHC
Interview dates – April 8th /12th @ FHC
Program Dates: June 1st – July 10th, 2026
Program Celebration – July 10th, 2026

💼 Work Hours: Monday-Friday, work hours will vary depending on the business placement, with a maximum of 90 hours over the 6-weeks.
💰 Pay: $7.25/hour

This 6-week program isn’t just about clocking in and out. We’re dedicated to providing a comprehensive experience that includes on-the-job training at local businesses and non-profit organizations, coupled with engaging professional development sessions on essential topics like communication, leadership, social media, and situational awareness.

To kick off this exciting initiative, we’re hosting an Information Session on Sunday, March 29th, 2026, from 2PM-5PM at Fellowship Hi-Crest, located at 455 SE Golf Park Blvd. Interested youth and at least one of their legal guardians must attend this session in order to apply. It will cover everything you need to know about the application process, interview tips, resume building, and more. Plus, you’ll get the chance to grab an application form to get started on your journey towards success!
