AZURA SUMMER FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA 2023

Join us on July 1, 2023, for the Azura Summer Fireworks Extravaganza hosted by Fellowship Hi-Crest! This event has become a staple in our community, and we can’t wait to make this year’s event even better this year. Starting at 7 pm, come out to the Avondale East Field to enjoy food trucks, snow cones, a DJ, giveaways, and inflatables for the kids. There’s something for everyone at this event, so bring your family, friends, and neighbors to celebrate together. As the sun sets, get ready for the main event! At 10 pm, a 20-minute professional fireworks show will light up the night sky. You won’t want to miss this dazzling display of colors and sounds.

This is the perfect way to kick off your summer and celebrate with your community. So mark your calendars and join us for the Summer Fireworks Extravaganza on July 1, 2023, at the Avondale East Field. We can’t wait to see you there!

Additional Parking is available at Owls Nest II, located at 2901 SE Adams St, Topeka, KS 66605.

Volunteer Opportunities:
Event Set Up
 (5-7 pm) – 10 people. This team will help set up before the event starts. We will set tables, chairs, welcome vendors, setup ice chests, water, and the welcome table.

Parking Team: This team will take a shift at the Owls Nest II to help people find parking spaces and load the shuttle bus to the event.

  • Event Parking Team (6:30-8:00 pm) – 4 people
  • Event Parking Team (8:00-9:30 pm) – 4 people
  • Event Parking Team (9:30-11:00 pm) – 4 people

Street Closure Team: There will be 4 intersections closed for the event. We need adults 18 and over to stand at the street closure signs. They will move the barricades in case of an emergency. This is also a great opportunity to greet our guests as they arrive.

  • Street Closure Team (4-6 pm) – 4 people
  • Street Closure Team (6-8 pm) – 4 people
  • Street Closure Team (8-10 pm) – 4 people
  • Street Closure Team (10-11:30 pm) – 4 people

Event Drivers: This is a team of two people for each shift. They drive the People Mover between Owls Nest II and FHC to shuttle our guests. 1 Person is the driver, and 1 person helps people on and off the bus.

  • Event Drivers (6:30-9:00 pm) – 2 people
  • Event Drivers (9:00-11:30 pm) – 2 people

Giveaway Table: We will have a drawing for people to enter into. Volunteers will help people sign up for the giveaway. This is another station that we use to greet and welcome our guests!

  • Giveaway Table – (6:30-8:30 pm) – 3 people
  • Giveaway Table – (8:30-10:30 pm) – 3 people

Event Clean-Up (10:30pm-Midnight) – 10 people. This team of volunteers cleans up our space after the event. We are helping people find trashcans on their way out, as well as putting back tables, tents, chairs, ice chests, and other supplies used during the event.
