Hi-Crest Serve Day 2025

One of our core values is Service.  This means being an active part of the body of Christ both inside and outside the church’s walls.  We think it is important to dedicate one of our Sunday Morning Services to serving our community as a whole church body.

On Sunday, September 14, we will meet at 9 am in the gym.  We will sing one worship song together.  After this song, we will break into teams and go out to serve in the community.  We’ll wrap things up by 11:45.

Following our time of service, we will meet back at the church to celebrate National Night Out with our neighbors. We will have a hotdog lunch and play bingo!

Serve teams this year will be:

• Laundromat Team: We will throw a party at our local laundromat and do laundry for anyone who comes to the business during our serve time. We will welcome guests, wash, dry, and fold their laundry for them. This is a great team for our low-mobility volunteers.  Join us at the Highland Crest Laundry Mat 455 SE 29th St, Topeka, KS 66605
• Trash Teams
Pick up trash on Fremont Hill
Pick up trash in the Hi-Crest Neighborhoods
• Tire Team
This team will drive throughout the Hi-Crest Neighborhood to pick up tires.
• Community Garden Team
This team will prep the garden for use this fall.  Rake, weed, dig, etc…
• National Night Out Team: This team will set up the hot dog lunch at the church.
