Domestic Violence and Faith Communities Seminar
This seminar is tailored to meet the needs of all faith practices and is geared toward clergy and faith leaders, spouses, and others who are involved in the care of the faith community members.
Together with the faith community at large, we seek to support victims/survivors, transform families and strengthen our communities.
Join us on Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM at Fellowship Hi-Crest for “Domestic Violence and Faith Communities,” an educational, day-long seminar during Domestic Violence Awareness Month and YWCA’s Week Without Violence. This seminar aims to:
- Educate faith leaders regarding the unique dynamics of domestic violence and the impact it has on the community,
- Share resources and information available within communities, and
- Provide strategies on how to best engage and approach potentially life-changing conversations with victims/survivors and effectively understand and guide victims/survivors to a support system.
The seminar is free, but seating is limited. Please register in advance here. Breakfast, snacks and beverages will be provided.
