ALL CHURCH SERVE DAY

One of our core values is Service.  This means being an active part of the body of Christ both inside and outside the walls of the church.  We think this is so important that we dedicate one of our Sunday Morning Services to serving in our community as a whole church body.

On Sunday, September 10th, we will meet at 9 am in the gym.  We will sing one worship song together.  After this song, we will break into teams and go out to serve in the community.  We’ll wrap things up by 12:30

Serve teams this year will be:

• Laundromat Teams: We will throw a party at our local laundromats and do laundry for anyone who comes to the business during our serve time. We will welcome guests, wash, dry, and fold their laundry for them. This is a great team for our low-mobility volunteers.
• Dolly Parton Library Teams: We envision seeing every family in Hi-Crest signed up for the Dolly Parton Library. This free service mails books every month to families with children 5 years old and under. This team will go door to door to help families sign up. We will also hand out community resource bags at each house and pick up trash along the way.
