Living the Discipleship Rhythms

Discipleship at Fellowship Hi-Crest is shaped by seven life-giving rhythms that guide how we grow together.

We are called to be shaped by the story of Scripture.
Tell the Bible as a story—because it is one.
Learn Jesus. Can you speak about Him with the same passion as a Jayhawk fan talks about Big 12 Basketball or a K-State fan talks about Wildcat Football?

Listen to God both backward and forward.
Look backward by reading the Word—especially the Gospels—again, again, and again.
Look forward by listening to the Spirit—journaling what you hear as He leads and speaks.

Throw good parties!
Celebrate meaningful moments, people, and milestones as acts of worship and witness to the goodness of God.

Who can you share a meal with this week?
Set a goal to eat with three people each week:
– Someone from your serve team
– Someone from Fellowship Hi-Crest
– Someone who is not a believer or does not currently have a church home

Give because the Gospel is worth it.
Our time, talent, and treasure are signs pointing to what we value most.

Who can you bless this week?
Aim to bless three people each week through your words, actions, or gifts:
– A member of your serve team
– Someone from Fellowship Hi-Crest
– A non-believer or someone without a church home

Sabbath regularly and refresh your soul.
Practice a healthy rest rhythm:
– Daily: 8 hours of sleep, 8 hours of work, 4 hours of engagement, and 4 hours of disengagement
– Weekly: Take at least one full day for true rest

Create beauty as a spiritual practice.
Express your creativity through hobbies, art, music, writing, or play.
